System Industries disk cabinets

To make room in storage for the DECSYSTEM-20, ten racks of System Industries disk controllers and racks had to be scrapped. Each rack held three controllers and eight hot-swap drive carriers. The drive carriers, each of which contain a Seagate 5.25-inch SMD drive, are seen stacked to the left. These have been kept so that the SMD drives can be removed. Previous Photo Next Photo
