X-Y Monitor Tester

At one time I was considering buying some spare X-Y display monitors for some of my video games. I needed an easy way to determine if the monitors were basically functional, so Rich and I built this tester using a PIC16C54 and a quad 8-bit D/A converter. It displays several simple geometric patterns, stepping through the patterns when a button is pressed. We didn't build any vector circuitry per se, so it draws lines by plotting a series of intermediate points.
